One of the first things people notice when they meet you is your smile.
Are your teeth any of the following?
- Discoloured or stained
- Worn down
- Misshaped or crooked
- Have gaps between them
If you’re ready for a new smile, veneers may be what you have been looking for.
Amazing transformations happen when our patients opt for cosmetic dentistry such as veneers. With our advanced training in aesthetics and many years of experience, our team have literally reshaped many smiles.
Veneers are typically used when your teeth are in a sound condition yet you’re unhappy with the way they look. The design will be based on your overall appearance so they will complement your skin colouring, facial features, facial shape and personality.
Veneers do not require the removal of significant tooth structure. They are bonded on to the front surface of your anterior teeth and are usually only 0.5mm in thickness.
Once the treatment is complete you should have a result that looks beautifully natural.
Veneers can be made out of two types of materials:
- Porcelain, or
What are porcelain veneers?
Porcelain veneers are a popular way of correcting and cosmetically enhancing your smile by changing the colour, texture, shape and in some case the alignment of your teeth. They are thin sheaths of porcelain which are custom made for your teeth to provide the best possible fit.
Our porcelain veneers are:
- Carefully designed to blend in with the surrounding teeth to create the appearance of a natural tooth
- Durable, hard wearing and non-porous so they keep their shine and lustre
- An excellent way to address your aesthetic issues
- Less likely to chip or stain
- If properly maintained, they can last for many years
Porcelain veneers transmit light more effectively and therefore have a more translucent appearance giving a natural aesthetic look. Porcelain veneers can give you that face lift that you have been looking for by improving the shape and colour of your smile.
What are composite veneers?
Your teeth can be also be veneered using composite resin, which is applied to the surface of the tooth and sculpted to the required shape. Chipped, slightly misaligned or otherwise imperfect tooth that need cosmetic restoration can be improved in just one appointment with a composite veneer.
A composite veneer can be an affordable alternative to porcelain veneers and with proper care will last up to five to ten years.
