We love arts, crafts and toothbrushes in our household so today we made liquid chalk and changed it up a little by using old toothbrushes to paint!
The girls created their own special artwork inspired by #whereswally as he makes his way around Haberfield this week, thanks to @hungrygrasshopper
Our method:
- 1/4 cup cornflour
- 1/4 water
- Plus a drop of food colouring of choice.
Mix altogether get painting with your toothbrushes.
Note, we made two pink and two blue liquid chalk cups which we will save and use tomorrow.
The liquid chalk is quite versatile and can be used also for artwork on the pavers outdoors – if you’re game!
This is a great one for #science week activities. If you want to add another layer of excitement, you can use glass jars to add each liquid chalk mixture into and the kids can use a wooden spoon to play the xylophone on the jars!
All to inspire some good nostalgia around using toothbrushes and creating some fun for kids.
Let’s paint, paint, paint!
Hop Scotch!
